1. FEATURE: Celebrating 2005
It’s that time of year when a lot of us have been doing some soul searching, reflecting, and planning for the year to come. There is something about a new Calendar Year that boosts the motivation to become more than we already are.

I’m all for harnessing energy to take me forward, and hence have spent a few days over the holidays working on my 10 year plan (yip- I’m setting BHAGS- Big Hairy Audacious Goals - for the next 10 years).

I’d like to share some of the process of setting Well Formed Goals with you, but before that, a great place to start is by celebrating what we have already achieved!

  • So what can you celebrate from last year?
  • What achievements can you acknowledge?
  • What did you do that you are proud of?
  • And what came into your life or what did you create that you are grateful for?

Celebrating is an important part of goal setting. Acknowledging where we did succeed, helps us develop eyes for success! And writing down our Celebrations creates magic in helping us recognize, crystallise and express them.

So to give you some ideas, and get you started, I’d like to share my Celebrations of 2005 and then invite you to do the same!

Action:
So now it’s your turn! Go ahead and write down what you are proud of accomplishing last year. You’re welcome to share them with me via email on telana@innercoaching.co.za. Make reading this VALUABLE for you, by taking a minute or an hour, to write down your Celebrations for 2005.

Remember, acknowledging and being grateful are tools for growth. And if you find you are judging what you write down, use that energy to motive you to make 2006 a fabulous year!

Next time we’ll start looking more at 2006, and what goals you can set to celebrate next year!

To you celebrating your accomplishments,

Telana
