George has an entrepreneurial spirit that has helped him not only be involved in a number of businesses, but also in how he handled his stroke. He chose to do so in a way that not only helped him, but is still helping many more people through the Stroke Survivors Foundation, which he co-founded.  George shares with us his life motto, as well as how confidence in business comes from belief in your product and positive thinking.  And he claims the term: calculated failure, which have been stepping stones on his journey to the success he has today.

About George Scola

George Scola’s life took a dramatic turn when he suffered an ischemic stroke at the age of 37 in 2008. Despite facing lasting physical and hidden disabilities, George’s resilience and determination have defined his journey ever since. As the co-founder and CEO of the Stroke Survivors Foundation since 2010, he has emerged as a passionate advocate for stroke survivors, dedicated to improving post-hospital discharge care and support for those affected by this life-altering event.

With pre-stroke business experience in I.T., banking and property finance, George earns a living by being self-employed which allows him to work within his comfort zones and limitations. His journey hasn’t been without challenges, but his positive attitude and unwavering self-belief have propelled him forward, inspiring others to adapt, improvise, and overcome in the face of adversity.

George’s impact extends beyond the stroke advocacy realm. He has been a driving force behind transformative initiatives, including crafting successful origination models for the banking industry, and spearheading health-related initiatives like the Blue Glove Initiative, aimed at fostering disability awareness and empathy within society.

His commitment to sustainability and eco-conscious practices aligns seamlessly with his role at HempSol, where he serves as a prominent figure in revolutionizing the hemp yarn industry. With a profound dedication to sustainability and eco-conscious textile production, George’s dynamic background and entrepreneurial acumen position him as a leader poised to drive HempSol’s mission forward.
